Weekly Blog #20: Lockdown Presentation

Image
Hello ‘Ilima      This week has been absolutely crazy. Let’s start of with the lockdown and fire. During lunch, the security started screaming that everyone get into the cafe. I was confused and just thought it was a weird drill. Everybody in the cafe was still talking and I just sat in a corner. When the lockdown ended, I learned that it was actually real. I’m just glad that the person wasn’t on our campus because the cafeteria was so loud. Then on the next day, there was a fire alarm and I also couldn’t tell if it was a drill. But the announcement said it wasn’t a drill and everyone around me started to scream. But I never saw a fire, so I think someone just pulled the alarm. Having two school wide events was pretty crazy but there was more. Family Nite was also this week and this was my favorite one so far. I got to work at the drones booth and I had so much ...

Weekly Blog #19: Proud and Stressed

Hello 'Ilima      This week really flew by quickly but a lot still happened. First of all, I hurt my ankle which made walking hurt a lot. Like every single step I would feel pain. But I'm lucky that the left ankle healed quickly. I also finished my I-Ready Diagnostics which were stressful. I went down 2 in I-Ready Reading but I still got a 691 which is really good. In Math, I got a 591 which was my personal highest score across all grades. But man, it really went down to the wire. I literally finished the last 40% of the Math Diagnostic on the last day you could finish it. The science and social studies projects have been going good so far, the science project has some good research but I just need to add it to the slideshow. The social studies project has some good research as well and the slideshow should be posted soon. But the main thing to think about is the Leadership interviews. My interview is on the 22nd (which is going to be the day that I post it because ...

Welcome Back 'Ilima      It's good to be back here and what a way to start off the week. Before I can really talk about school, I have to mention the fact that I sprained my ankle. It happened on Friday and I was just running where I tripped on the stone thing that kept the tree dirt separated from the side walk. The pain was terrible and I would of went to the health room if it was open. What made it even worse is the amount of walking I had to do. My last period was social studies which is my farthest period. Then I had to walk home from where the bus dropped me off from which was super painful. But don't worry, my ankle doesn't hurt as much anymore and I can walk again. Now moving on, my period had TV this week and we got to work with two broadcasters. It was tough learning the new buttons but we got it working. I was also on TV where we got to see the return of Joseph. My classes this week were okay but I hate the I-Ready Diagnostics so much. They always cover t...
