Weekly Blog #18: New Semester New Work
Welcome Back 'Ilima
It's good to be back here and what a way to start off the week. Before I can really talk about school, I have to mention the fact that I sprained my ankle. It happened on Friday and I was just running where I tripped on the stone thing that kept the tree dirt separated from the side walk. The pain was terrible and I would of went to the health room if it was open. What made it even worse is the amount of walking I had to do. My last period was social studies which is my farthest period. Then I had to walk home from where the bus dropped me off from which was super painful. But don't worry, my ankle doesn't hurt as much anymore and I can walk again. Now moving on, my period had TV this week and we got to work with two broadcasters. It was tough learning the new buttons but we got it working. I was also on TV where we got to see the return of Joseph. My classes this week were okay but I hate the I-Ready Diagnostics so much. They always cover things I don't understand or we haven't learned which makes it a guessing game on what is right. We also have a bunch of projects that we are starting which will be interesting. Overall, this week was pretty stressful but it is only just the beginning.
A highlight from this week was seeing all of my friends in person again. During the break, the lack of the physical interaction with my friends was definitely boring so this was just fun. A lowlight from this week would be spraining my ankle because it hurt a lot. I still don't understand why the health room has to be closed on the one day I need it. Another lowlight has to be the I-Ready Diagnostics because they are just so annoying. It may seem like this week was negative but I had a lot of fun and good things did happen.
A lesson I learned from this week was to not be reckless. This lesson comes from me spraining my ankle from running. I wasn't looking at where I was going and I have to learn to look at my surroundings. A small lesson I learned was say things in a nice way. I say this because on Wednesday, I was kicked off the bus because I showed an online pass and the driver said "We don't accept that, get off the bus." Like, you could say that in a way nicer way. You could say, "Oh sorry, we don't allow the use of online passes so you can't come on the bus." Just be respectful. This ends my blog and I wish you the best. Cheers to another day!
