Weekly Blog #20: Lockdown Presentation

                                Hello ‘Ilima

This week has been absolutely crazy. Let’s start of with the lockdown and fire. During lunch, the security started screaming that everyone get into the cafe. I was confused and just thought it was a weird drill. Everybody in the cafe was still talking and I just sat in a corner. When the lockdown ended, I learned that it was actually real. I’m just glad that the person wasn’t on our campus because the cafeteria was so loud. Then on the next day, there was a fire alarm and I also couldn’t tell if it was a drill. But the announcement said it wasn’t a drill and everyone around me started to scream. But I never saw a fire, so I think someone just pulled the alarm. Having two school wide events was pretty crazy but there was more. Family Nite was also this week and this was my favorite one so far. I got to work at the drones booth and I had so much fun flying the drones around the cafeteria. Finally, I had two important presentations. One was my science project and the other was my leadership interview. Both turned out great and I am so happy that they did. This week was definitely a long and crazy one.

A highlight from this week would be the Family Nite because I had a lot of fun working at my booth. They even had chairs and water for us which made the experience much easier to enjoy. A lowlight from this week would be the lockdown drill because I was super confused and we could of actually been in danger of an attack which is never good. Another lowlight for me was the nervous feeling I had before my interview, I was very scared but I came out feeling confident.

The lesson that I learned from this week is to be professional during danger. Between both the lockdown and fire, the other people were just talking and not paying attention. If it was a real threat, then the students would not know what to do because they would be talking over the announcements. So you should stay calm and stay quiet during lockdowns and evacuations.

This week had some pretty good magic notes, so let's see who comes on top. In our honorable mentions we have.............. Reese and Mal.
