Hello ‘Ilima  This week has had the most events go on so far which has been very interesting. Thursday was a double header with ISA Flag Football and Family Nite. Flag Football was first with 3 SBGS, including me, attended. The event was taking place in Ewa Makai and it was going to be my first time seeing and being on the campus. It was much larger than I expected with all of the buildings being clean and the floors not being cracked. The boys on our team started practicing and us SBGS started walking around getting photos and videos. A wrench was thrown in our plan as the ‘Ilima 8th graders weren’t wearing their jerseys. It was pretty annoying, but we were able to find other pictures. Throughout the whole time, I had a pretty bad day because it was so hot and there was so much walking. But it wasn’t just any walking, we had to walk across a huge field over and over again going from side to side to try get pictures. I like walking, but this was absurd. The only good part was that ...

Hello ‘Ilima  This week of school was thankfully only 4 days with Friday being a PC Day. The biggest part of this week academically would be the Unit 2 Math Test I had. It was about angle relationship and I was pretty nervous because a lot of the concepts are a bit confusing. The test was around 10 questions and I would describe it as tricky. It was hard to understand, but once you did the rest would be simpler. All of my class was struggling to even finish the test and once I was done, I was nervous to find out my results. I ended up getting a 21/23 on it which was a huge sigh of relief for me. In other news, the Open House was had on Thursday evening. All of my teachers were there and it was a pretty decent time. My parents enjoyed each teacher and it seems like they are happy with the teachers I have. During the Open House, multiple teachers had called me out and it was pretty funny. Ms. Acob had commented on the fact that my friend and I’s conversations, were crazy, Mr. Heloca ...

Weekly Blog 1-6 (41): Half-Way

Hello 'Ilima This week was the closing of some chapters and the opening of other's. This was the last week of Flag Football and I couldn't be more grateful. I was so tired of spending all of my advisory and lunch at the field, advising the students. Speaking of students, the 7th graders in our school are absolutory absurd. They had so many fights this week. They are always crowded around A101 which is also super annoying because we have to hear all the screaming. I was working TV this week and I pulled out some of the best props ever. My whole period decided on doing group themes for TV and we had some great ones. Our themes for the week were Animals, Chef, Mean Girls, Royalty, and Party. I did all of them except Mean Girls and it was super fun. The best one from the week was Royalty because I felt like it was the most high quality. Party was also really good because of all of the balloons that we made. In other news, math has started to get a bit confusing. We are learnin...

Weekly Blog 1-5 (40): The Cogs Keep Turning

Hello ‘Ilima (Author’s Note: I’m kind of stupid, I originally had a whole section celebrating my 50th weekly blog, but I had read the numbers wrong and I’m actually on the 40th blog. It’s a bit embarrassing but also pretty funny. Anyway, let’s continue on with the blog.) This week felt very fast looking back at it. Or maybe I just forget the detail. Well anyways, we still had Flag Football this week and it was pretty meh. It was the same cycle and same steps over and over again which just got boring. The only thing that really changed was on Thursday. Majority of the 8-3 students in Leadership needed to do a Social Studies Assessment because Friday was an ISA event that SBG needed to attend. Two people had asked Mr. Damo, the Social Studies teacher, if they could do the test during their Leadership period, but he said that the only opportunity he would give for us to do the test was doing Advisory. This got Mr. Ing a bit annoyed because there really was no difference between taking the...

Weekly Blog 1-4 (39): It’s the End that Matters Most

Hello ‘Ilima  This was one wild week. So wild in fact, I don’t know where to start. I guess we can start with Intramural Flag Football. We only had Flag Football for 3 days due to bad weather during the other days, but it was still very crazy. Out of all of the days from Flag Football, the most eventful had to be the second day which was I think Thursday. There were 2 main things that made this one day the most memorable. The first was the injuries. Multiple kids got bloody noses and one kid couldn’t breathe. Something that is funny not funny is that when I first saw the kid who wasn’t breathing, I didn’t know he wasn’t breathing so I told the person who was working to mark the kid as out of the box since his arms were over the line. I feel pretty bad now that I look back and know the context, but it’s whatever. The other thing from that day was how stupid some of the people were. One class decided to be in the same box as another class which made the counting so messed up and conf...
