Weekly Blog 1-6 (41): Half-Way

 Hello 'Ilima

This week was the closing of some chapters and the opening of other's. This was the last week of Flag Football and I couldn't be more grateful. I was so tired of spending all of my advisory and lunch at the field, advising the students. Speaking of students, the 7th graders in our school are absolutory absurd. They had so many fights this week. They are always crowded around A101 which is also super annoying because we have to hear all the screaming. I was working TV this week and I pulled out some of the best props ever. My whole period decided on doing group themes for TV and we had some great ones. Our themes for the week were Animals, Chef, Mean Girls, Royalty, and Party. I did all of them except Mean Girls and it was super fun. The best one from the week was Royalty because I felt like it was the most high quality. Party was also really good because of all of the balloons that we made. In other news, math has started to get a bit confusing. We are learning about angle relationships and I was just barely understanding what we were learning. We have a test on Tuesday, but I am gonna study and make sure that I am ready for the test. Not a lot of other things have been going on during this week in school. Out of school has been a little bit more exciting. There is this really good musical that I had discovered a little while back that I wanted to talk about called Epic. It's a online musical/album based of the famous story, The Odyssey. I really like the music in the background and the lyrics portray the story very well. Some of my favorites songs are Puppeteer, No Longer You, Suffering, and all of the Wisdom Saga. My Fantasy Football League has also been crazy. My first round pick in Ja'Marr Chase has done absolutely nothing so far which is really annoying. I've been able to stay near the top of the leaderboard off of decent games from guys like Justin Jefferson and David Montgomery, but getting first place with my current lineup is going to be difficult. Overall, this week was decent.

 Flag Football Fiens

HEER YEE HEER YEE

A highlight from this week would be working TV. It was very fun finding props to use and rewatching the broadcasts was exciting. Another highlight from this week would be Jewelyn and Mal visiting. Friday after school, they came from Campbell to see us for a couple of minutes and it was just very nice to see them after such a long time. The last highlight would probably be the ending of Flag Football. The last day of Flag Football was such a relief because it was such a draining activity. The first lowlight would be getting hives. I don’t know how I got it, but my skin was so itchy and sore on Tuesday. My whole torso was red and my face had so many bumps. I luckily got some Benadryl to stop them before it got too bad. The last lowlight would probably be all the fights going on. It’s honestly disappointing how disrespectful these 7th graders are. Hopefully they calm down as the year goes on, but I doubt that will happen.

The first lesson that I learned is to control yourself. These 7th graders have absolutely zero chill which is just a recipe for failure. People in general need to learn how to control their emotions and not do irrational things. Think before you act. In school, I learned about budgeting from Financial Literacy and Angles in Math. With that being said, this concludes my blog. I hope you have a great week. Cheers to another day!
