Weekly Blog 3: Event After Event

 Welcome ‘Ilima

This week has been exhausting with picture taking and parent open house. Picture taking was across 4 days and I had an overall good experience. I worked a day at the stage and then 2 days greetings. For parent open house, I stayed after school doing homework and talking to friends until 3:30 where we are Kalua Pork which was ok. After around a hour, we started working at I was paired with Mikayla at the breezeway. She wasn’t there for some reason and I just worked without her. After a while, we stopped working and just started doing silly things. Mal toppled over me in front of the parents and it was as very embarrassing. The events went fine and I also enjoyed  taking my picture. My hair was fine which was a relief because over the weekend, I had hair troubles. I got my hair braided because I wanted that hairstyle but I ended up not liking it so I took them out. My hair then expanded and became bigger than my head. I’m just glad to have my normal hair again. To get back on topic, school was okay this week. The lunches were pretty subpar except for the corn dogs. For the substitute in Social Studies, we had to different ones. Ms. Singer and Ms. Shepard. Ms. Singer was very nice and I enjoyed class. Ms. Shepard was also okay but having to walk all the way to E205 from C106 was terrible. Science has been fun with Dr. Heloca talking to us for most of the day on Wednesday. Language Arts has also been good and I like that Ms. Miya is nice. Math was fine and we haven’t done too difficult of math. Finally, AVID has been boring and I think the others are getting on Ms. Scarborough’s nerves.

A highlight of this week has been parent open house as I had a lot of fun and I think we did a good job working. The only downside to parent open house was that I was super tired and thirsty after it ended, but I went to Denny’s after so it was worth it. A lowlight would be Wednesday because I had a headache for the whole day most likely from sleep deprivation. Another lowlight would have to be Sloppy Joe and Hamburger Curry because those meals left me hungry for the rest of the day :(

Finally, a lesson I’ve learned from his weekend is do what you have been told. I chose this lesson because of an event that happened as I was writing this. Context: I take the bus home and I started to write this blog. So some kids were being loud and obnoxious and the bus driver told them to stop. They didn’t listen and kept on being loud and even rude to the lady. She told them to stop again and they still wouldn’t listen. Finally she was fed up with them and when they left, she looked at their bus passes for a reason that I don’t know. But this taught me to just do what you are told. I always do this, but seeing someone else so blatantly disobeying just drives the point home. I hope you understand this and wish you all the best. Cheers to another day!
