Weekly Blog #12: The Blurring
Hello ‘Ilima
This week has gone by so quickly. I literally forgot so many things that happened and I have just been going through the weekend so slowly. It has felt like years but what I did was a lot. First of all, corn hole finished up and it was good. I don’t understand why the others hate inter murals so much because I like watching the other students play the games. The highest score I was was a 16 and it was impressive because the home room didn’t have a lot of students. Because this week was short, our magic notes were due earlier. It was kind of stressful but I got it done. The hard part was helping the GT. Since they didn’t know a lot of people, it was harder for them to do their magic notes and Dylan waited so long to do his. But a really good thing about him is how fast he can work. To give context, binder checks happened the week and we needed two advisory math pages. But we couldn’t grab the paper until Dylan turned his magic notes in. We were all stressing about it but in the blink of an eye, he turned in all of his magic notes and we were able to get the paper. I also got to teach my choreography to the boys. I taught more parts to some people but they all got a little bit of a lesson. I really like how it’s going and I can’t wait for the final result. Not a lot happened school wise but we have two upcoming tests. It’s funny how the AVID test keeps on being pushed back. It was supposed to be last week but now it is going to be next week. This week went by quick but I enjoyed it.
A highlight from this week was reading my magic notes. These were definitely my favorite week of magic notes and the GT did good writing their first ones. Another highlight would be corn hole because I do really like inter murals and corn hole is very unique. A lowlight would have to be math. We had a lot of difficult math homework this week and it’s just stressful. This next lowlight is very specific as on Thursday I was told that I would be given a Twix bar and I never got it. Twix is a top 2 candy all time and I am so mad that I was tricked like that.
A lesson I learned from this week was to stop being gullible. I thought I wasn’t gullible but then I fell for the Twix trick and I gave money to other people. Maybe this could also mean to stop being a push over but I need to toughen up.
As mentioned before, the magic notes this week were so good. I literally couldn’t pick so we have a four way tie with four honorable mentions. A honorable mention will be worth .5 star. So our honorable mentions are…….. Riselle, Jayden, Gabby, and Jayna. All your magic notes were so good but they didn’t break the top 4 for me. And so the 4 winners are…. Mal, Naomi, Reese, and Jewelyn. Their magic notes were so nice and I just had to give it to them. So our leaderboard looks like: Jewelyn w/ 3, Gabby w/ 1.5, Mal, Naomi, and Reese w/ 1, Jayna, Riselle, and Jayden with .5, and everyone else with 0. The competition is tough and everyone is fighting for the top spot. This concludes my blog and I wish you the best. Cheers to another day!
