Weekly Blog #13: WhataWeek

Hello ‘Ilima

This week has been so long with so many things happening. First of all, I was on TV this week and I had to think of a new intro. I decided to do puppets because I saw my puppet and thought it would be funny. I think this has been my best TV so far and I happy that I am progressing. There was also recognition night this week which was cool. I had a good time because I got to see a lot of my friends walk up stage and I got to lose my voice screaming for them. The actual work was good and I just worked like I would usually. On Monday, Leyla brought a cotton candy machine to class and they made cotton candy that was just pure sugar. It was pretty silly but it just had to be on my desk. Speaking of my desk, it’s one of the messiest because I share it with Mark and he has a lot of things. But it doesn’t really matter because it eventually gets cleared. The GT also experienced after school sales for the first time and I think they did really good. We also got to walk the path to the Turkey Trot and it was pretty tame. Mr. Ing was talking about how some people passed out and I don’t understand how they would. Off topic, I’ve been starting to play Clash Royale after quitting years ago and now I have 3 different people helping me at once who think that they are the best option to help me. It’s pretty silly and I just accept all their opinions. This week also had a science test and an AVID test. Both tests were pretty simple and I’m pretty sure I got all correct. Overall, I’ve been really tired throughout this week but it has been enjoyable.

The Failed Heart from Recognition Night

One highlight from this week definitely has to be Recognition Night. I loved watching my friends go up stage and getting their certificates and I felt so proud. Another highlight would be walking the Turkey Trot path because it was just nice to have a walk. Now this lowlight has a full story. So Mal and I were on a bike and when we got back to the starting point, I had tried to get off but the bike fell over and we fell. My head had jabbed Mal in the jaw and we both were on the ground. It was so terrible and now everyone thinks I did it on purpose, even Mr. Ing thinks so! They are obviously joking but it was so terrible and I feel so bad.

A lesson I learned from this week was to be patient. This exactly ties into how I fell because I had just tried to get off the bike without hearing how I was supposed to get off the bike. But in my defense, I really thought there was only a couple ways you could get off a bike. But patience is definitely a thing that has been a recurring obstacle this week. So some lessons of patience is definitely good.

For this week, I have two honorable mentions and three winners. The honorable mentions are…………….Dominic and Mal. Both their magic notes were really good but the others were a bit better. The winners from this week are………..Jewelyn, Reese, and Riselle. Jewelyn and Reese’s magic notes were so long and nice while Riselle made a drawing of a character I liked which was really cool. So the leaderboard looks like Jewelyn w/4, Reese w/2, Gabby, Riselle, and Mal w/1.5, Naomi w/1, Jayna, Dominic, and Jayden w/.5, and everyone else with 0. More players are being introduced while some of the rich are just getting richer. This concludes my blog and I wish you the best. Cheers to another day!
