Special Blog #1: The Bio Cube

 Hello ‘Ilima

So this isn’t a normal blog, this is a ✨special✨ blog. We are talking about the Bio Cube. The Bio Cube is a cube which 6 sides of information. The sides are Name, Background, The Personality, Significance, Obstacle, and Quote. My favorite was either Quote or Background because my quote was from my favorite song and I like to talk about my background. It took us around 1 week of designing and building to finish it and I am happy with it. After we were done, we shared our Bio Cube around 3 times. One was after we finished, the next was during the field trip, and the last was during school. All of this sharing was also a lesson on how to public speak. To summarize, the Bio Cube was 6 sides of information that taught us lessons about speaking, designing, and constructing.

A highlight of the Bio Cube has to be the design of the Bio Cube. I had so much fun making colors patterns and placing other parts. I was doing that for 1 or 2 days and it was a lot of backtracking and re-doing. I kept on messing up the color but I still had lot's of fun making that part and it looks really nice. Another highlight would have to be the sharing. I was very nervous at first, but I learned to relax and speak loud and clearly which helped with some of my confidence issues. A lowlight was definitely the picture of me. I had planned to put two photos, one from a couple years ago and one from graduation. But I realized there wasn't enough space. I had to cram in only one photo and I think it looks ugly.

There were multiple lessons I had learned from the Bio Cube experience so it would be hard to narrow it down to one. So that's why I'm not going to narrow it down. The first lesson I learned was how to public speak. I was never a good public speaking as I was always too nervous to speak in front of crowds but learning methods of speaking definitely helped. I became a louder speaker and a more confident talker due to the sharing of the Bio Cube. This might sound weird, but the making of the Bio Cube made me learn that I need to be aware of how I place things. The first part of this was the picture because I had messed it up while trying to place it. But the reason I had the problem was because I unknowingly made my name too low so that the picture couldn't fit. I now know to be aware of where I place things because it could cause other problems down the line.

If I were to change the assignment, I would make the box and design bigger. I would want them to be bigger because it would allow for more pictures or designs which will make the box look better. It would also help me as it would have made my mistake nonexistent. Of course you can’t make the box and design too big but making it a little bit bigger could make a big difference.
