Weekly Blog #7: Everlasting Exhaustion

 Welcome ‘Ilima

This week, though short for some, has been tiring. First of all, I had a math test on the first period of the week and it was terrible. For one of the questions, I spent 5-10 minutes on because I went the long way. Everyone hated the test and some people were crying. I did get a good score so that’s good. Then on Wednesday, I almost had a heart attack. It was during the morning and I arrived in my room. I was just sitting and I realized I didn’t have my ID. I started to look around and I couldn’t find it. I called my parents and they said it was in the car. They started to drive back but they would come after the first bell rang. I was stressing out while waiting for them to come. It took a while but eventually they came and I got my ID. It was so stressful and I hated everyone moment of it. But there is some good news as the person I thought was leaving the school actually wasn’t. It was weird just seeing them at school when I thought they moved. On Friday, we had to do a tour for Campbell Teachers. Waking up at 5:30 was annoying but I was able to be active. We started by setting up the cafe and then greeting the teachers. It lasted for around 10 minutes and then Mr. Ing’s presentation started. He talked about the school and different aspects of it. After his presentation, we headed to our tour spots. I was paired with Jabeez and we gave a tour of the Band and Choir Room. I did the introduction and storage room and he did the Band and Choir Room. It was pretty fun and some of teachers called Jabeez cute. After the tour, we stayed on campus for a while and I got to use the skateboard again. I fell two times but that didn’t stop me from trying. What did stop me was Mal taking the skateboard from me. I got it back though and I actually did pretty good. Oh and I forgot to mention that in Science, we had to look at ice melt for 40 minutes. It was so boring but I guess we learn something. None of the other classes really have things to talk about as it was mainly just the same stuff. Finally, my Leadership period now has two mascots. William the Whale and Joseph, my daughter. They are a dynamic duo and will take over the world 😁

A highlight from this week would have to be the tour because I had fun doing it and I got to use the skateboard afterwards. The biggest lowlight has to be the whole ID thing because it caused me so much stress and anxiety. Another lowlight would have to be the math test because why do we need to do a big math test on Monday morning. Finally, the last lowlight has to be watching ice melt for 40 minutes as it was just a waste of my life.

Finally, a lesson I learned was to stay calm doing stressful situations. I thought I had already knew this, but having to go through the whole ID process was terrible. I was stressing out and I could think straight. So for future events, I would want me to stay calmer and focus on the important stuff. All that stressing just made me feel terrible and I hated it. This concludes my blog and I hope you have a great week. Cheers to another day!
