Weekly Blog #8: Drowsy Dramatic

 Welcome ‘Ilima

School ends in just a week and it’s time to celebrate. But I am so tired. We had the first Family Nite and I enjoyed it. I worked at the Financial Literacy booth and we just had to watch the people play the game that the teacher made. The game itself was based off the show, “Who Wants to be a Millionaire.” and it was fun. The other booths were also fun as they had a CPR practice doll, a wheel of questions, bean bags, and rockets. Thursday overall was exhausting as my mom’s surgery was also on that day. She is currently recovering and will come home soon. This week was also the start of Drama club and it was nothing like the one at Holomua. This one was smaller and we played a whole lot of games. It was very awkward as I was the only boy and I only knew one person. I also had very little sleep across the whole week as I had long events on Tuesday and Wednesday. But on Saturday, I met up with my Leadership period. We had a lot of fun and we watched movies. We also had some substitutes for some classes. Language Arts had a sub and I could barley hear her. She would talk to quietly and it was annoying. AVID had a sub and she was just there. She didn’t say anything when the boys were screaming and just told us to do our journals. This week we had TV so we after school sales and I had to leave early but we did absolutely nothing so I just was able to leave with nothing done. Speaking of TV, I was on TV! There was a lot of things I think I could of done better because I didn’t do the intro I wanted, my voice wasn’t how I liked it to be, and a lot of other small details. But I can’t wait for the next time I get on TV. They also had the ISH finals which was very silly. It looked so boring but it was funny because the people were on the stage. This week overall has been so tiring but so fun.

A highlight from this week would have to be the period 3 meet up as I had so much fun and made some memories. Even if the aftermath was a bit unfortunate. Another highlight would have to be Family Nite as it was also very fun and I enjoyed working at the Financial Literacy booth. A lowlight would have to be the substitutes because they were so quiet and we never learned anything while they were there.

I learned multiple things this week so here’s a couple of them. The first one was to not eat too much sugar as it will hurt you. Trust me. Then the next two lessons were from Family Nite. I learned financial skills and how to do CPR. Both are helpful things to know for the future. Finally, I learned how I could improve myself on TV. Next time I will try to slow down and be louder. This concludes the week and almost the quarter. Hope you have a great last week. Cheers to another day!
