Weekly Blog #15: Bowling For Rain

 Hello ‘Ilima

This week has ISA bowling and what a time it was. It was on Friday and most of leadership participated in it. It took a long time for the bus to come but when we got on, another school was also on the bus. I was hating it already and then everyone started to sing. Now I did sing along but still. The bus ride there was fine with not a lot actually happening. When we got there, we went to our place and we got the game plan. I was going to bowl with the other girls in my period and we were playing on lane 18. There was going to be 3 games in total and the highest score for each category wins. I was so confident going in but everything was going horribly. I couldn’t hit the pins because the ball was going to the right side when I didn’t want it to and would go off. I was getting so mad and the problem was only discovered 2 1/2 games in. So my bowling experience wasn’t the best but the whole team did really good. This week was also very rainy. After school activities were canceled for most of the week and everything was wet. But the week overall was good.

The Whole Campus Being Rained On
A highlight from this week would have to be the field trip aspect of the bowling. It was fun going to the bowling alley and I made memories. Another highlight would have to be the rain because it canceled a lot of things which made this week more chill. A lowlight from this week would be the actual bowling because I was laughably bad. I want to have another chance now that I know my mistake but I don’t think I will have that opportunity.

A lesson I learned from this week was don’t use past experience to assess current skill. This is because of the bowling. I used to be really good at bowling but I hadn’t played in years. But I told everyone that I was going to be good because of this experience and that clearly didn’t happen. So maybe just admit that you aren’t as good or maybe try to keep that skill level.

This week had some good magic notes so let’s see what we got. The honorable mentions are……….Dominic and Gabby. Your magic notes were good but not at the level of these next winners. So those winners are………. Zhalea, Jewelyn, and Reese. Your magic notes were so kind and I just felt good reading them. Jewelyn w/5, Reese w/3, Gabby w/2, Riselle and Mal w/1.5, Naomi, Dominic, and Zhalea w/1, Jayna and Jayden w/.5, and everyone else with 0. Powerhouses are being formed and who knows who will win. This concludes my blog and I wish you the best. Cheers to another day!
