Weekly Blog 16: Love and War

 Hello ‘Ilima

This past week has been exhausting to say the least. Events from Monday seem like decades ago. But it has all been meshing finely. First of all, we had made winter decorations for A101 and I really like mine. It is a scene of snowman surrounding a present and it is amazing. But it is very fragile. Then, this was my first week working box and I was so nervous. I was told the different things I had to do and then I was strapped in. It went pretty good and I don’t think I made any mistakes which will make me fell better next time I work box. Next, I have a fun story about friendship. This was on Friday and my friend had to go to the bathroom. I was waiting for him and all of a sudden, the bus started coming on the campus. I called my friend but he didn’t pick up and from across the campus I saw him enter the bathroom. So I started sprinting to the bathroom to get to him immediately. But 2 unfortunate things would happen. First, my IDs all fell onto the ground and I had to scramble on the floor to get them. Then, with IDs in hand, I ran as fast I could until I was almost there and then the worst thing could happen. BANG! I fell to the floor and everyone started looking at me. But I couldn’t just lay on the ground and watch as the bus would leave, so I did a roll to quickly get up and I yelled at my friend, “THE BUS IS HERE!” We quickly ran to get out bags and we barely made it onto the bus. This was all so nerve racking and I couldn’t even breathe. This whole story was so exhilarating and I’m just glad we made the bus. This week also had an evacuation and we had to carry signs. But those signs were some of the nastiest things ever. The smell was terrible and everyone couldn’t even breathe, so I was glad that I always had a mask on. Overall this week was just exhausting but fun.

My Winter Decoration

 TV from this week.

A highlight from this week would be making the bus on time because I was very stressed that one or both of us would have missed the bus. Another highlight was the end result of working box because I got to feel proud of my work. A lowlight would have to be holding the signs because they were disgusting. Another lowlight would be preparing for working box because I was very stressed that I would mess something up.

A lesson I learned from this week is good work pays off. This connects to many things from this week and might as well be the overall phrase of the week. First of all, I had to work TV and the good work I did made the TV broadcast good. Then my good work of making the decoration made a great finishing project . Next, my good work of helping my friend by telling him the bus was here was the outcome of both of us making the bus. Having good work pays off.

This week magic notes were pretty good so let’s see the winners. But starting with the honorable mentions we have………… Dominic and Riselle. Your magic notes were really good and I enjoyed them a lot. But our winners are………. Jewelyn, Reese, and Jayden. Your magic notes were all so sweet and thoughtful. The leaderboard is looking like Jewelyn w/6, Reese w/4, Gabby and Riselle w/2, Dominic, Jayden, and Mal w/1.5, Naomi and Zhalea w/1, Jayna w/.5, and everyone else with 0.
